Values and Beliefs

Mission

“By loving God and loving people, we will make disciples of Jesus Christ, serve our community, and impact the nations as the Holy Spirit leads us.”

Values

Values to us are convictions that we have based on the Word of God.

Things like loving God and people; the inerrancy of the Scriptures, unity, prayer, care for the poor, evangelism, worship, prophecy and more…

Beliefs

Beliefs are key theological convictions we hold to – things that we never expect to change…

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood via the Cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal imminent return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe that we are justified by the righteousness of Christ alone, through faith in Him, and not by any deeds of our own; and that while good works are inseparable from a true and living faith, they can never be a means of salvation before God.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling and outworking the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and empowered to serve the Lord.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved are resurrected to eternal life and those that are lost to eternal punishment.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe many more things that we would classify as secondary to the core beliefs of Christianity, that vary in levels of importance and significance for every day faith and practice.
